Separate airflow from lighting
Fan motor watts describe electrical input, not airflow, while lumens describe lighting output. The 84 retained fan lights state their span, motor configuration, speed control, reverse mode and default light output without inventing unpublished laboratory CFM or dB values.
Span and room fit
Use the listed overall diameter and maintain adequate clearance from walls, tall furniture and doors. A compact fan light suits smaller rooms; wider spans suit larger rooms when the ceiling and structure allow it.
Control
The included handheld remote is the normal operating control for fan speed, reverse mode and supported light functions. A standard wall switch should be used as master power only unless the product page explicitly states another compatible control.
